Crime and Suspense will publish my story "Loose" in its Jan/Feb 2009 issue. It's a heartfelt coming-of-age tale about a boy and his dog. Tony Burton, the magazine's editor, called it "grotesque." His check didn't bounce, so I assume he meant it as a compliment. Thanks, Tony!
