Turn Left on Main Street
This morning I walked up the street to get some ink cartridges refilled. Someone yelled at me from a car on the corner. I walked over thinking they needed directions somewhere.
"You going to the plasma center?" the passenger said.
I said no.
"They got heroin in this town?" the driver said.
Oh, yeah.
They asked where they could find it. I told them where to try on the East Side. "You'll recognize the neighborhoods."
Now I have a conundrum that'll chew on my head for the rest of the morning. Which of the following is correct?
Option 1: They had hoped I was on my way to the plasma center, because that means I'm probably a crumb snatcher. When I said no, they figured they'd ask about heroin anyway, since they already had my attention.
Option 2: The answer they wanted to the first question was actually no, because it means I don't plan to submit to a blood test anytime soon, and I just look like the type of cat who knows where the smack be at.
Option 3: This incident is somehow related to the police mobile command center that was parked in the plaza down the block.
On my way back from the store, two other guys asked me if I smoke weed. Maybe I still had soap in my eyes.
