Random Shots

I just finished The Shotgun Rule by Charlie Huston.  Terrific book.  Four thuggish kids open a can of worms when they burglarize a meth lab.  I'll definitely read more of his stuff.  The Mystic Arts of Erasing All Signs of Death looks promising.  He maintains a blog at pulpnoir.com.

Last year I read Word Made Flesh by Jack O'Connell.  Very dark and very weird.  I'm still not sure what to make of it, but it was interesting enough that I'm willing to give him another chance.  I checked Amazon to see what else he's written and figure I might pick up The Skin Palace next.

Right now I'm watching a movie I downloaded through the Columbus Metropolitan Library.  They don't have a Netflix quality of selections, but it's not bad for a public service.
