- "Ric with No K" by Patricia Abbott. A teenager protests her boyfriend's innocence despite what the law tells her.
- "She Watches Him Swim" by Claude Lalumiere. Veronica's a little too restless for her husband's good.
- "Skin Deep" by Neil Richter. A criminal's ugly face contributes to his ugly disposition.
- "When You Know You're From Somewhere Else" by Evan Roskos. A man's retirement in the Philippines falls short of paradise.
- "Wishing on Whores" by John Weagly. Narrated by that one friend you call when you have a serious problem.
